About the Role

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Restoration Engineer / Project Manager to lead structural restoration projects from investigation through execution. This role involves evaluating aging or damaged structures, designing repair solutions, managing project delivery, and ensuring the safe and code-compliant restoration of critical structural components such as beams and columns.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage restoration projects for existing structures including concrete, steel, and masonry systems.

Conduct on-site structural assessments and develop engineering solutions for structural deterioration or damage.

Design repairs and retrofits for structural elements such as beams, columns, slabs, and connections.

Perform and review structural calculations to ensure safety, performance, and code compliance.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, and design teams to manage timelines, budgets, and quality control.

Prepare technical reports, restoration drawings, and construction documents.

Oversee field investigations, inspections, and construction monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of experience in structural restoration, rehabilitation, or forensic engineering.

Strong understanding of structural systems and repair techniques for beams and columns.

Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, RISA, ETABS).

Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in Structural Restoration – Proven experience in the inspection, evaluation, and restoration of structural elements, including concrete, steel, and masonry systems.

  • Project Management Skills – Demonstrated ability to lead restoration projects from assessment through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.

  • Expertise in Beams & Columns – Strong understanding of the behavior, repair, and reinforcement techniques for structural beams and columns.

  • Structural Calculations Proficiency – Ability to perform and review structural calculations for restoration work, ensuring code compliance and structural integrity.

  • Engineering Degree and Licensure – Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; PE license preferred or in progress.
